“神秘的东方力量”能管住AI吗？ChatGPT之父引用《道德经》……

随着AI技术的发展，AI安全成为被不断热议的话题。

近日，OpenAI 创始人 Sam Altman 以视频连线的方式，参加了于北京举办的 2023 智源人工智能大会。这是Altman首次对中国观众发表演讲。

会上，Altman首先提到了AI技术发展之迅速，并预言未来十年，人类将拥有强大的人工智能系统（AGI），可能“在几乎所有领域”都超过人类的专业知识。

Altman predicted that in the next decade, artificial general intelligence systems, commonly called AGI, may surpass human expertise "in nearly every domain".

“中国拥有世界上最优秀的人工智能人才，”Altman称，“解决AI系统目前面临的技术难题，需要全世界人才的共同参与”。

“China has some of the best AI talent in the world and fundamentally, given the difficulties in solving alignment for advanced AI systems, this requires the best minds from around the world,” Altman told participants at the event hosted by the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence.

同时，Altman坦言，AI技术也是一把双刃剑：既能带来机遇，也会带来挑战。因此，维护AI安全就显得尤为重要。随着逐渐强大的 AI 系统的出现，Altman倡议各国技术合作来推进 AI 安全。

AI revolution will create shared wealth and make it possible to dramatically improve the standard of living for everyone. We must manage the risk together in order to get there," Altman said, "we need international cooperation to build global trust in the safe development of increasingly powerful AI systems in a verifiable way.”

在演讲中，Altman还特别引用了《道德经》。“我们需要国际协作、共建全球信任，来安全开发日益强大的人工智能系统。这并非易事。但正如《道德经》所言：‘千里之行，始于足下’。”

“We need international cooperation to build global trust in the safe development of increasingly powerful AI systems in a verifiable way. I have no illusions that this will be easy...The book of the Dao reminds us that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

这并不是《道德经》首次出现在国际舞台。

2011年，连任联合国秘书长的潘基文在就职演说中援引《道德经》：“天之道，利而不害；圣人之道，为而不争”。他强调应将这种不朽的智慧应用到今天的工作中，在百家争鸣的思想中，找到行动上的统一性。

除了《道德经》之外，不少外国政商界领袖都曾在公开场合引用中文典籍。

2009年，时任美国总统的奥巴马在上海科技馆发表演讲。在谈到中美关系时，奥巴马引用了《论语》中的名言“温故而知新”。他说：“中美合作让两国都变得更加繁荣和平。我们在互利合作、互相尊重的基础上，已经取得了很好的成果。”

“There is a Chinese proverb: Consider the past, and you shall know the future. Indeed, because of our cooperation, both the United States and China are more prosperous and more secure. We have seen what is possible when we build upon our mutual interests, and engage on the basis of mutual respect.”

近年来，不仅不少知名人士在国际舞台上展示对中国典籍、中国文化的了解，“学中文”的热潮在民间也不断高涨。

YouTube网站上，中文语言学习的视频教程有很多，也有不少外国网友表达自己对中国文化的理解，甚至是分享自己在中国旅行、学习、生活的经历。

此外，也有越来越多的外国青年并不满足于只掌握一门语言，而是在学习中文的过程中深入了解中国文化，甚至成为了中国传统文化的“铁粉”。

中文曾被称为“世界上最难的语言之一”，但如今，中国话却越来越国际化。随着中国文化逐渐走向国际舞台，东方智慧也在世界性重大议题中，不断贡献着独特的力量。
